Every question type you need
All nineteen question types, each shown exactly as a respondent sees it — mix and match to fit what you're trying to learn. Build them yourself, or describe your survey and let AI draft it for you.
Where each question type can come from
Every type is available in the builder and to the AI generator (“Create with AI”), and every type accepts answers through the web link, manual entry and the API feed. The two file imports create the types whose answers a responses file can carry.
| Path | Question types |
|---|---|
| Builder, templates, AI generator, API (create) | All 19 types. The AI generator also recognises a 0-10 “likely to recommend” question as NPS. |
| Questionnaire import (CSV, TSV, text, Excel, Word, web page or PDF of questions) | Open Text, Rating Scale (including Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Slider), Multiple Choice (one answer), Dropdown, Multiple Choice (multiple answers). |
| Responses import (CSV, TSV, text, Excel, web page or PDF of answers) | Fills Open Text, Rating Scale, Multiple Choice (one answer), Dropdown and Multiple Choice (multiple answers) questions; other types are left for respondents. |
Multiple Choice (one answer)
Let respondents pick a single option from a list — the most common survey question.
Image Choice
The same single-answer choice, shown as picture cards respondents tap — for concept, packaging or ad tests.
Multiple Choice (multiple answers)
Let respondents tick every option that applies — with an optional limit on how many.
Rating Scale
Capture sentiment or satisfaction on a numeric scale.
Net Promoter Score (NPS)
The 0-10 recommend question, scored automatically as promoters minus detractors.
Slider
A continuous scale respondents drag — for percentages, amounts or anything between two labels.
Matrix / Grid (one answer per row)
Ask several related questions that share one set of answer choices — one answer per row, in a compact grid.

Labelled number fields with an optional fixed-sum rule — 'allocate 100 points' is enforced, not requested.
Must total 100
Demographic Information
Name, address and contact details as one structured block — US or international layout, each field optional or required.
Matrix of Drop-down Menus
A grid where every cell is a select menu — schedules, staff allocations, per-row choices.
| Morning | Afternoon | |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Choose… | Choose… |
| Tuesday | Choose… | Choose… |
Date
A date, a time, or both — stored as real values, so analysis can sort and compare them.
File Upload
Respondents attach a file — with per-question size caps and type narrowing.
Signature
A drawn signature captured as an image — consent forms, attestations and sign-offs.
Descriptive Text (no answer)
Display-only blocks between questions — instructions, section breaks and consent wording.
Section 2 — About your visit. The next four questions cover your most recent appointment only.
