221 capabilities, all shipped
Everything the intelligence does — and what it does not yet
An intelligent decision platform, laid out capability by capability — what it does with your data first (read, answer, protect), then everything that feeds it, survey tools included. Nothing here is aspirational: anything still to come is listed separately at the end, labelled as such.
Built for regulated Australian organisations and privacy-conscious teams — schools, clinics, councils, associations, super funds’ member teams — and it shows in what ships: detection of tax file numbers (by checksum, or labelled as one) and checksum-verified Medicare and card numbers, recorded as counts only, consent notices recorded against each response and per-survey retention windows you set yourself (from the Pro plan; every new survey starts at 24 months), anonymous collection, and every provider that processes your data named on the Security page. See how those teams use it in the 81 use cases by sector.
How this compares
Survey tools tend to meter the same things. This is the pattern you will recognise from your own shortlist, next to what Thisys does. Named competitors are deliberately absent: their plans change without notice, and an out-of-date comparison is worse than none.

AI, on every page
AI woven through the product, not bolted on — drafting, analysis, an assistant that answers your data, and a help concierge on every screen once you are signed in. Anthropic Claude only, metered by credits, and your content is never used to train it.
The AI front door
Signing in lands on the AI page: say or type what you need — the box acts on it, building the survey, opening the right report, or going to the page you asked for. A survey it builds opens in the editor for you to review, with its web link and email invitations on the Collect tab; "Open my full workspace" on the same page is the one-screen route, which builds the survey and its shareable link together and invites a contact list (Business plan), behind an explicit confirmation.
Survey drafting
A complete survey from a plain-English brief, with an optional clarifying round first.
Open-text theming
Recurring themes across the free-text answers, with representative quotes — read from up to 200 answers per question, sampled evenly across fieldwork, and the report states the sample.
Response summarisation
A plain-English executive overview of what a response set says.
Ask your data
Put a direct question to the responses and get an answer drawn from them. The price is shown before you ask, the same question on unchanged data is answered free, and any answer can be added to the saved report.
AI rule drafting
Describe an automation in words and get a draft rule to check and save — anything a rule cannot do is named rather than faked.
Translation fillPro
Draft a complete translation of a survey for review before it goes live — a language is offered to respondents only once its wording is filled, and a fill that comes back in the wrong script is held back.
Chat assistant
A help concierge on every page once you have an account (a free account will do) — building surveys, reading results, billing, your account. It answers with the exact page as a button, not directions. Scoped to Thisys, and free (never charged to your credits). Ctrl+K from anywhere.
Choose the model
Pick fast, balanced or deep (Claude Haiku, Sonnet or Opus) from the header to trade cost against depth when AI drafts a survey; the menu names any area — reports and Ask, translation, Chat — that runs on a fixed model instead. On Free, a deep request runs on the balanced model.
AI off until you allow it
A survey's responses are read by AI only once you switch analysis on for that survey.
One named AI provider
Anthropic Claude, and nothing else — one AI sub-processor to disclose, named with the rest on the Security page, and your content is never used to train it.
Honest AI notices
Every AI output carries a plain notice naming what can go wrong and the check that catches it — the human stays accountable.
Credit metering
AI is paid in credits: 40 in the first 30 days on Free, then 10 a month; 400 a month on Pro, 2,000 on Business, custom on Enterprise. Priced by real model cost; a Decision Report shows its price before you build it, and a run your balance can't cover is refused before it starts.
Buy more credits and answers
AI top-up packs from 1,000 to 1,000,000 credits and answer packs from 10,000 to 10,000,000 answers, each cheaper per unit the more you buy. Purchased balances swap either way, at 1 credit to 30 answers.
The AI Decision Report
One click turns a response set into a verdict, the evidence behind it and what to do next — checked against the numbers, and yours to edit, approve and share.
One-click Decision Report
A verdict, highlights, open-text themes with representative quotes, ranked findings and recommended actions, built from the responses in one click and metered by credits.
Findings computed, not guessed
The strongest findings, ranked by impact and calculated from the data without AI, each with the tally behind it one click away.
What moves the score
Key drivers: the answers that move the outcome, by correlation — shown only with 30+ answer pairs and a relationship that is both meaningful and significant.
Segment gaps and price reading
The biggest gap between groups is named, and a Van Westendorp price-sensitivity reading appears when the survey carries the four standard price questions.
The first report builds itself
At 30 completed responses, once per survey, when AI analysis is on for it and no report has been built yet — you are emailed when it is ready, and if credits are short it says so and charges nothing.
What changed since your last run
Each rebuild shows how the headline moved and which themes are new. Every build is kept in History, and re-reading one is free.
AI figures checked against the data
An AI sentence whose figures or statements contradict the computed findings — or that gives a figure for a group the survey hides — is left out, never rewritten to say something else, and the reader is told how many were withheld, on screen, in exports and on the shared link.
Edit before you approve
Rewrite the verdict and highlights in your own words; the edit is stamped wherever the report is shown.
Approve and share, maskedPro
Approve a report to freeze it and share a read-only link — optional password, revocable. The public copy masks emails, phone numbers, TFN, Medicare and card numbers, and withholds flagged quotes.
Board-ready exports
PowerPoint with native charts and a recommendations slide, Word, a Decision Report PDF, JSON and XML — every format carries the saved report's prose and findings.
Built in the background
A Decision Report is queued and built off the web process — leave the page, come back, and it is waiting. Progress is live, and a run can be cancelled until its summary is written — nothing is charged if it has not started, and only the AI call already under way if it has.
Analysis and reporting
Research tooling, not just a chart.
Cross-tabulationPro
Compare choice, dropdown and rating questions against each other, or against the link a response came through — column %, row % or counts, with column means, downloadable as CSV or Excel. Checkbox and grid questions get breakdowns of their own.
Significance testingPro
Cross-tab cells carry the letters of the columns they are significantly higher than (two-proportion z-test at 95%); small bases are flagged and never tested.
WeightingPro
Weight responses by one variable — a multiplier per answer — applied to cross-tabs, segments and the weighted base, with a weight column added to CSV and Excel exports.
Automatic segments
NPS, rating or pass rate split by every single-answer and checkbox question for you. Groups under 30 are flagged, and only groups of 30 or more are tested for a real difference.
Minimum reporting group
Any breakdown smaller than the group size you set — 5 by default, applied automatically to anonymous surveys — is hidden everywhere: filters, cross-tabs, segments, trends, public results and AI, with complementary suppression so it cannot be worked out by subtraction.
SPSS and R
Responses as an SPSS .sav file — short variable names, the question as its label, coded values with value labels — or an R analyst bundle: the data, a codebook and a ready-to-run script.
Live summaries
Counts, percentages, distributions and averages, recomputed on every load so they are never stale.
Descriptive statistics
Median, standard deviation, top-2 and bottom-2 box, and grid row means alongside the counts.
Bar and pie charts
Switchable on choice and drop-down questions; a rating scale stays as bars, read in order along its scale, and a multi-select stays as bars, since its shares add past 100%.
Responses over time
Responses by day, week or month, stacked per collector, with an NPS or average trend line — periods with fewer than 30 answers drawn open, so a thin base is visible.
Chart export
Download any summary chart as PNG or SVG, or copy it straight into a document.
Automatic NPS scoring
Promoters, passives, detractors and the signed score, calculated for you.
Response filtersPro
Narrow every Analyse tab of a survey — Overview, Responses, Report, Drop-off & cross-tab, Segments and Export — to a subset built from answers.
Saved filtersPro
Store and reapply a filter so recurring reporting is repeatable.
Drop-off funnelPro
See which page people stopped on — the question a completion rate cannot answer.
Partial responses and screen-outs
Unfinished submissions and screen-outs are kept and counted separately rather than discarded or mixed into completes — with an export of their own showing each one's status and the page it stopped on.
Individual response view
Every answer from one respondent, with their uploads, signature, score and follow-up.
Manual entryBusiness
Type in responses gathered on paper or by phone; they join the same analysis.
Security and intelligence scanning
Let AI read your responses for anomalies, policy breaches and where risk concentrates — and let a deterministic engine catch personal data (TFNs, cards, Medicare) before it leaks, whether it's in files on your machine or the responses you've already collected.
AI anomaly detection
Point the AI at a survey's responses and it flags the answers unlike the rest — gibberish, bot-like, duplicated or implausibly extreme — so bad data never reaches your analysis. Opt-in per survey, metered by credits; each run reads up to the newest 200 completed responses (the first 400 characters of each one's written answers), says how many it read, and offers the older ones as the next batch.
Response quality flagsBusiness
Speeders, straight-liners and repeat submissions from one network are flagged for review in the response list — never deleted — so you decide what counts. Offices and schools share an address, so on its own a network is flagged only once five other responses on the same link have come from it, or sooner when another check also fires.
AI compliance flagging
The AI reviews response content for policy breaches — a third party's personal data, confidential or regulated detail, abusive or unlawful text — and names the concern without repeating the sensitive value. Up to the newest 200 completed responses a run, with the older ones offered next.
AI intelligence scanning
A plain-English read of what a batch of responses is about and where the risk concentrates, beyond pattern matching: up to the newest 200 completed responses a run, the first 400 characters of each one's written answers — the result says exactly how many it read, out of how many.
Tax File Number detection
Checksum-validated against the ATO's mod-11 algorithm, so an unlabelled nine-digit invoice number is not reported as a TFN. A number written as a tax file number ("TFN 123 456 789") is reported even when its checksum fails — a mistyped TFN is still one.
ABN and Medicare detection
Both checksum-validated. Medicare also enforces the 2-6 leading digit every issued card carries.
Card number detection
Luhn-validated across 13-19 digit runs, however they are spaced, hyphenated or dotted — "4111 1111 1111 1111", "4111 - 1111 - 1111 - 1111" and "4111.1111.1111.1111" are the same card.
Email, phone and BSB detection
Australian mobile and landline groupings, and the hyphenated BSB form. Format-matched, and labelled as such.
Name and street-address detection
Names from cues such as "my name is" or a sign-off, and street addresses such as "4/21 King St" — masked like every other finding.
Account number detection
Column-heading matched in CSV data, and reported as column-matched rather than as a validated rule — the confidence is part of the finding.
Content moderation
Offensive language (English word list) and spam checked on every submission — word-boundary matched so innocent words never flag — plus an opt-in AI classifier (credits) for harassment, sexual content, self-harm and violence, in other languages too, run when you scan: up to the newest 200 open-text answers per batch, the first 400 characters of each, with the scan saying how many it checked and offering the older ones next. Per category, ignore it, flag it for review, or hide it from public results and exports; nothing is deleted, and you decide each flag: keep, redact or remove.
Scan local files or a whole folder
CSV, TSV, text, JSON, Markdown and log files, read and scanned in your browser. The file contents are never uploaded; only the counts are recorded.
Scan a survey's responses
Every response on a survey — free text, textbox rows, demographic fields, grid cells and comments — scanned server-side where the answers already are. No answer text is sent to the browser.
Scan selected responses
Tick individual responses to scan rather than the whole survey.
Remove personal data from a response
From a finding, strip the found values from that response's answers and notes and clear its IP and browser record — one audited action.
Filename filters
Contains, starts with, ends with, or wildcard — narrow a folder scan to the files that matter.
Masked findings only
Every reported value is masked. Nothing in a findings report, on screen or in the history, is a live identifier.
Hash-chained scan history
Each run commits to the previous run's hash, so an edit or deletion inside the history is detectable rather than silent.
Counts-only recording
The scan record holds what was scanned and how much was found — never a found value, masked or otherwise.
Integrations and automation
Act on responses automatically, and get them out of Thisys and into whatever you use next.
Automation rules
When a response completes, is flagged or contains personal data, or someone passes or fails — optionally only when a rating crosses a value you set — email the survey's owner (or, on a teammate's survey, you), or send the respondent straight on to a follow-up survey. A rule emails no other address: to tell more colleagues, copy them on a link's response alert digests (Pro and up) or post to Slack or Teams with a webhook (Business). Emails are batched to one per rule per 15 minutes. Try your rules from Preview with a test response: email rules send for real and a follow-up-survey rule says where it would send the respondent (a rule for flagged responses can't be tried that way).
Automation history
Every firing logged with its outcome, filterable and exportable as CSV.
Follow-up tracker
A response that needs action gets a status (open, in progress, resolved), an owner, a due date and a note — with an overdue view.
Outbound webhooksBusiness
A signed POST to your URL on seven events — a response completed, flagged, found to contain personal data, withdrawn or deleted, or an assessment passed or failed — with delivery status recorded. Withdrawn and deleted carry ids only, so you can delete your copy.
Slack and Microsoft TeamsBusiness
Post to a channel in each platform's own format — Slack Block Kit or a Teams Adaptive Card — and only a genuine Slack or Teams webhook address is accepted.
HMAC signaturesBusiness
Each delivery carries a timestamp and an HMAC-SHA256 signature, so your endpoint can verify it came from Thisys.
Webhook delivery logBusiness
The last 50 attempts per webhook with their bodies, a redeliver button and a test send. Failed deliveries retry, you are told after three failures in a row, and a webhook that keeps failing pauses itself.
REST APIBusiness
List, create and read surveys — with their question ids and answer shapes — and page through responses with a cursor.
Continuous data feedBusiness
Push responses in from your systems — helpdesk closes, IoT readings, scheduled reports — held to every survey rule, landing in their own collector, firing your automation rules; a retried push with the same Idempotency-Key is never counted twice. Pull them back out with a paged cursor.
API keysBusiness
Up to 10 active keys, named, and revocable one at a time; requests are rate limited per key.
CSV and Excel export
Responses as CSV or a real .xlsx workbook, respecting the active filter — one row per response, one column per option, or partials and screen-outs with the page each stopped on.
Stable export codes
Every question has an editable variable code (Q7) and every option a fixed value, kept through reorders and used in the SPSS file, the R bundle and the coded CSV and Excel downloads, so files from different waves merge cleanly.
PDF summary report
The per-question response summary as a printable PDF, respecting the active filter.
HTML, PDF and Word survey export
The survey structure as HTML, a printable questionnaire PDF or an editable Word document — tick boxes, a box for each point of a scale and lines to write on — for review, archiving or offline distribution.
Design exports
The questionnaire itself as a real Excel workbook, CSV, or structural XML — for sign-off, translation vendors and integrations.
Public results pagesPro
A shareable read-only results link for people without an account.
Public CSV linkPro
An unlisted always-current export URL. Off by default, with an explicit confirmation and a regenerate action.
Building surveys
Four ways to start, and a builder that keeps everything editable afterwards.
570 industry templates
Across 30 industries, each previewable in full before you commit and completely editable after.
AI survey drafting
Describe the survey in plain English and get a complete draft. Answer a few clarifying questions first for a sharper result.
Duplicate any survey
Copy an existing survey as the starting point for the next round.
Multi-page surveys
Group questions onto pages, with optional titles and descriptions shown to respondents.
Reorder questions and pages
Move either without losing the skip rules that point at them — a move that would put a rule out of order warns you first, and the rule pauses until the order is restored.
Copy and move
Copy a page or a question in place, or move a question to another page.
Search and replace
Change wording across the survey at once — questions, choices, labels, help lines, page titles and the respondent page's buttons — with a preview of every match first.
Whole-survey overview
View every page stacked on one canvas, collapse questions to their headings, and jump back to a single page — for long surveys.
Import from files
Bring questionnaires in from CSV, TSV, Excel, HTML, PDF or Word (.docx), and responses from CSV, TSV, text, Excel, HTML or PDF — analysed deterministically, every consequence shown and accepted before anything lands, removable in one action. PDFs are read from their text layer — a table in one is split into its columns when its cells line up, and other text is read line by line; a scanned image is named as such rather than guessed at.
Trash and restore
Deleted pages and questions are recoverable with their options and any responses already collected, and a deleted survey can be restored for 30 days.
Saved as you go
Survey names and settings save themselves as you type; a question or page edit saves in one click, and the builder asks before an unsaved edit is thrown away.
Formatting and pictures
Bold, italic and links in display text, help lines and page descriptions — typed as **bold**, *italic* and [a link](https://…), with a hint under each box — and your own pictures in display text, from Insert a picture.
Preview on any device
Preview as a phone, tablet or desktop, with a logic trace that says which rule fired and why — and submit test responses that are kept out of every count and cleared in one action.
Safe edits to a live survey
Changing a question that already has answers lists exactly what the change would delete and asks first; placeholder text left in the survey is flagged before you send it.
Deep-linkable editor tabs
The tab is part of the URL, so a refresh keeps your place and a link points at the exact screen.
Question types
Nineteen types, each with the settings that make it behave properly.
Multiple Choice (one answer)
Single-answer, with an optional Other box and randomised option order.
Image Choice
Single-answer, shown as picture cards respondents tap to choose — for concept, packaging or ad tests.
Multiple Choice (multiple answers)
Pick any number of options, with an optional Other box and an option that stands alone ("None of these").
Dropdown
A select list for long option sets such as country or department.
Rating Scale
A numeric scale with labelled ends, per-step labels and an optional Not Applicable choice (excluded from averages).
Net Promoter Score (NPS)
The standard 0-10 "How likely are you to recommend…" scale, scored as Net Promoter Score automatically.
Slider
A rating answered by dragging along the scale, stored as the number chosen.
Matrix / Grid (one answer per row)
A grid rating several rows against one shared column scale, with optional force-ranking (each column usable once).
Matrix / Grid (multiple answers per row)
The same grid, where each row can take more than one column.
Matrix of Drop-down Menus
A grid where every cell is a select menu — schedules, allocations, per-row choices.
Open Text
Free text, with format validation (email, number, date, length) and AI theming across the answers.
Ranking
Respondents order the options by preference.
File Upload
Respondents attach a file, viewable from the response — with per-question size caps and type narrowing (images, PDF, text).
Date
Date, time, or both — stored as real values rather than free text.
Signature
A drawn signature captured as an image, for consent forms and sign-off.
Descriptive Text (no answer)
Display-only blocks between questions — instructions, section breaks, consent wording.
Multiple Textboxes
Several labelled text fields under one question — name/email/phone rows, address parts.
Numerical Textboxes
Labelled number fields with an optional fixed-sum rule — "must total 100" is enforced, not requested.
Demographic Information
Name, address and contact details as one structured block, US or international layout, each field individually optional or required.
Required and validation
Per-question required flags, custom 'left blank' messages, and per-type validation — email, number, decimal, URL, phone, date, length or a pattern of your own — enforced server-side so they cannot be bypassed.
Comment fields
Any question can carry an attached comment box — the rating and the why, together.
Choice display formats
Options in one, two or three columns, horizontally, or as a dropdown — per question.
Selection bounds
Checkbox questions can require 'choose at least 2' or 'at most 3', enforced at submission.
Not applicable option
Multiple choice, dropdown and checkbox questions can offer a Not applicable answer alongside the options.
Randomise options
Shuffle option order per respondent to remove position bias.
Paste a list of options
Paste a list to fill every option at once, instead of typing them one by one.
Logic and flow
Send different respondents down different paths.
Skip logic on pages and questions
Hide pages, jump straight to a chosen page, or show and hide a single question — from rules of up to five conditions joined by all or any — on a choice, a text answer, a rating, a grid row, a ranked item's position, a date, or one box of a textbox question — evaluated server-side as respondents move.
End early or screen out
A rule can end the survey early — as a normal finish, or as a screen-out stored apart from completes, with its own message that can quote earlier answers.
Answer piping
Quote an earlier answer inside a later question, a page title or description, or the thank-you, screened-out or quota-full message, with a fallback when it was skipped.
Carry-forward of choices
Show a later question only the options a respondent picked — or did not pick — on an earlier multiple choice, checkbox or dropdown question.
Randomised questions and pages
Shuffle a page's questions with any of them pinned in place, keep a last option like "None of these" at the end, or show a run of pages in random order — or only a random few of them — seeded per respondent, and the order each person saw is stored with their response and shown on it and in the exports.
QuotasBusiness
Close a segment once it has enough responses — end the survey politely or keep collecting and mark the extras — counted per collector or across the survey.
Twelve condition operators
Equality and comparisons, plus contains, starts-with, ends-with and answered/not-answered — for choice, text and scale questions.
Skipped questions recorded properly
A question skip logic routed a respondent past is recorded as not shown — apart from one they saw and left blank, and from their own Not applicable choice — so analysis is not skewed.
Resume in progress
A respondent who closes the tab returns to where they left off on the same device, or on any device from a personal invitation link — and an optional Save button makes the promise explicit. An anonymous link keeps the place only while the tab stays open, unless you switch resuming on for every link.
Duplicate prevention
Returning respondents are recognised and stopped from submitting twice, unless you allow it.
Assessments and quizzes
Score answers against the right ones — training checks, exams and knowledge quizzes — then see which questions work and prove who passed.
Correct-answer marking
Mark the right option(s) on choice questions, or key a number with a tolerance, up to 20 accepted text answers, or a value per box; the survey scores each response automatically. The marked answers stay hidden from respondents unless you release them — as soon as they submit, or once the survey closes — with your explanations.
Exam controls
A time limit, a cap on attempts per person, question banks that show each person a random draw from a page, answer release after submitting or once the survey closes, and certificates with a validity period.
Pass marks
Set a pass percentage and respondents are told whether they passed on the spot; skip-hidden questions never count against anyone. A what-if shows how the pass rate would move at another threshold.
Points and partial credit
Weight each question from half a point to 1,000. Select-all questions score exact-set by default, or give partial credit per correct option — optionally with wrong ticks deducting, never below zero.
Hand marking and re-grading
Override a score by hand from the response, with an audit trail, or mark a question by hand. Change the key and re-grade the attempts already in — told how many changed and which certificates no longer match.
Certificates anyone can verify
Issued automatically on a pass with a unique code, checked on a public page that shows whether it is valid, expired or revoked. Review names before issuing, rename, revoke or re-issue at any time.
Gradebook
Every attempt with score, result and certificate status — searchable, sortable, and exported as CSV exactly as filtered.
Item analysis
Difficulty and a discrimination index for every question, a distractor grid showing which wrong options pulled people in, and KR-20 or Cronbach's alpha reliability for the whole test.
Cohorts and history
Compare pass rate and average score by collector or by any single-answer question — campus, intake, department — and follow attempts and passes week by week.
AI quiz drafting
Ask the AI builder for a quiz and it writes the questions AND marks the correct answers, pass mark included.
Assess overview
Every scored survey in one table — attempts, pass rate, average score.
Act on results
Automation rules fire when someone passes or fails — email yourself the moment a trainee needs a follow-up.
Design and branding
Surveys that look like they came from you, not from a tool.
Light, Classic, Dark and System looks
Clean preset survey themes that mirror the app's own looks, every one checked for text contrast against WCAG so respondents can actually read them. Want something specific? Build your own.
Theme editorPro
Build your own palette, typography and button style — with live WCAG contrast ratios as you choose colours, an optional full-page background image, and a default theme for every new survey.
Logo and image upload
Your own logo in the survey header, and pictures on choices and in text.
White-label collectionPro
Collect under your own brand — the Powered by Thisys mark comes off every respondent page and public results page automatically, with your company logo in its place.
A look per link
Each link can carry its own theme and choose which looks respondents may switch between.
Mobile-ready by default
Every theme and question type renders properly on a phone.
Distribution and collectors
One survey, as many channels as you need, each measured separately.
Web link collector
A public URL to share anywhere — social posts, newsletters, posters, receipts — with one-click share buttons for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, WhatsApp and email.
Email collectorPro
Personal invitation links — type or paste the addresses in (inviting a saved list is a Business feature, below) — so you know who replied and who did not.
Scheduled invitationsPro
Send now, or at a date and time you choose — and cancel a scheduled send before it goes.
Invitation trackingPro
Per person: delivered, opened the email, opened the survey, or bounced. A test send opens a preview and records nothing, earlier bounces are not mailed again, and failures can be sent again in one click, with the same message.
Automatic remindersPro
An email collector reminds the people who have not answered yet, after the number of days you choose and up to the number of times you set, with your own subject and message.
Website embedPro
Any survey link can be shown inside another website. The embed-code collector adds a ready-made copy-paste snippet — inline, resizing itself to fit, or as a pop-up.
QR codes
A print-ready QR code (PNG or SVG) for any web link — for posters, receipts, tables and packaging.
Link variables and redirects
Capture URL variables — a panel's respondent ID, a campaign — on every response and in the exports, and send finished and screened-out respondents to separate URLs with their IDs filled in.
Multiple collectors per surveyPro
Compare channels; responses are attributed to the collector they came through.
Access codes
Require a code before the survey opens — a link shared publicly but answered privately.
Response limits
Close automatically once a target is reached.
Close dates
Close automatically at a date and time you choose.
Scheduled opening
A link can open at a set time; anyone early sees when, in their own time zone, with your message.
Allow or block multiple responses
Per collector, defaulting to one response per browser — or repeats once per day, week or month for recurring check-ins, or one per internet connection on an identified link. An email invitation is a personal link, answered once by the person it went to.
Kiosk mode
A Start New Response button on the thank-you screen turns any tablet into a feedback kiosk serving a queue of respondents — and after a spell of inactivity it asks "Still there?" and clears itself for the next person.
Confirm before submit
An optional last-chance confirmation before a response becomes final.
Respondent page options
Page and question numbering, one question at a time, progress bar placement, title visibility, custom button labels, an exit link and required-question highlighting — set once for the survey, overridable per link.
Per-collector survey logo
Each collector can carry its own logo at the top of the respondent page.
Custom closed and thank-you messages
Replace the default wording with your own.
Close and reopen
Stop and restart collection without losing responses.
Unguessable links
Collector tokens are random, not sequential, so a link cannot be altered to find another survey.
Bot submissions discarded
A hidden honeypot plus a second machine signal — completed too fast, or sent by a script or tool rather than a browser (including a script posing as one) — and the submission is dropped before it is counted. A filled honeypot on its own is kept and flagged for you to review, because a person's browser AutoFill can fill a hidden field.
Contact listsBusiness
Import contacts, group them, track delivery status and honour opt-outs automatically.
Sender protection
One-click unsubscribe in every invitation, bounces and complaints suppressed automatically, and sending paused if bounce or complaint rates climb — so your invitations keep reaching inboxes.
Privacy and compliance
The tooling that makes collecting other people's data defensible.
Your own retention windowsPro
Choose how long each survey keeps responses; past the window they are purged automatically and permanently. Every new survey, on every plan, starts at 24 months.
Retention register
Every survey's retention window in one searchable list, with the ones kept indefinitely counted.
Consent noticesPro
Shown before the survey begins, with acceptance recorded against the response and timestamped.
Consent registerPro
Who agreed, to which version of the wording and when, across every survey — declines counted, withdrawals shown, and a filtered CSV export.
Respondent withdrawalPro
Consenting respondents get a withdrawal link on the thank-you screen, or an eight-character code at a kiosk, and you choose whether withdrawing deletes their answers or clears their free text.
Data subject requests
Find everything held about one person by email or phone across all your surveys — answers, invitations, contacts, notes and message threads — then export it as one zip or erase it in one confirmed, audited action.
Anonymous collection
Keeps IP address, browser details and invitation identity out of the response — they are not saved with the answers, not just hidden when you read them. Anonymous responses carry only the day, not the time, in exports, webhooks and alerts. Routine security logs on our servers are separate and keep IP addresses for up to 30 days, our network provider (Cloudflare) sees each request, and the app keeps an abuse-protection record of the IP address for 48 hours (see the Privacy Policy).
Respondent privacy notice
Every survey page tells respondents what is recorded, built from the survey's real settings — anonymity, retention, whether AI reads the answers — and names your organisation as the data controller.
Personal data masked when shared
Public results pages, shared single responses and shared reports mask emails, phone numbers, street addresses, names, TFN, Medicare and card numbers. Public results pages and shared reports also leave out quotes that contain a link or that Protect's content checks flag as offensive language or spam; those checks are word-based and do not catch everything. A shared single response is otherwise shown as the respondent wrote it, because you chose to share that one response.
Response export on request
Every response on a survey as CSV or Excel, and a zip of every survey's responses with an account manifest whenever you want it.
Response deletion
Delete an individual response permanently on request.
Email opt-out
Honoured automatically across every future invitation.
Email-confirmed account deletion
Deleting your account is never one click — we email a confirmation link first, so an open screen can't wipe your work. Every survey, response and blob is then erased, cascade and on-disk alike.
Audit trail that survives deletion
Security events (sign-ins, password and email changes, deletions, admin actions) are always recorded and can't be switched off — and they outlive the account they describe.
Working with respondents and your team
Close the loop rather than collecting and going quiet — together.
Team workspaceBusiness
Invite up to 10 people to a shared workspace with Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer roles (a Viewer reads the results and changes nothing); team surveys are owned together, and an activity feed shows who did what.
Per-member survey accessBusiness
Limit a member to the surveys they need rather than the whole workspace.
Clean handoversBusiness
Hand the team to another member; when someone leaves or is removed, whoever acts chooses whether their surveys stay with the team or go back to them, and their automations are handed over rather than left to fail.
Team activity and AI digestBusiness
Filter the team's activity by category, member and date, export it as CSV, and have AI summarise the last seven days (metered by credits).
Per-response conversations
Message a respondent about their answer — anonymous respondents too, through a private link — and the thread stays attached to the response. An emailed reply lands in the same thread.
Messaging centreBusiness
Email your own contacts and lists, and review everything you've sent — invitations and conversations included — in one paged history.
Share one response
A read-only link to a single respondent's answers.
Response alert digests
Per link, a batched email of started, partial or completed responses — from every minute to monthly — copied to up to five more addresses on Pro and up.
Instant response emailsBusiness
An email the moment each response completes.
Survey language
Write a survey in any of 19 languages and the respondent's buttons and messages follow it, right-to-left included.
Multi-language surveysPro
Add a language by typing its name — the picker finds the code and sets the reading direction. Translate every question and option; respondents pick their language from a menu on the survey card, and anything untranslated falls back to the original.
Translation workflowPro
Send a translator an Excel or CSV sheet and upload it back; lines go out of date when the original wording changes, each language can be switched on or off, and respondents land in their browser's language or a per-language link.
Respondent theme switcher
A palette on the survey card lets a respondent read in Light, Classic, Dark or System — on by default, remembered per link, and switchable off per collector.
Projects
Group surveys under a project as the number grows.
Project goalsPro
Give a project a goal, typed or spoken, and it steers the AI across the product while you work in it.
Support tickets
Requests raised through the site become tracked tickets, with replies kept together — an AI first answer on the contact form, and a status check by reference for anyone.
Account and platform
The things that matter once more than one person depends on it.
Light, Classic, Dark and System appearance
Four distinct looks for the application itself, plus six accent colours. Applied server-side, so there's no flash of the wrong theme on load.
Profile avatars
Pick from 54 built-in avatars, upload your own image, or keep clean initials.
Two-factor authentication
Any authenticator app, with ten one-time recovery codes to copy or download; required for administrators.
Lockout and password screening
Repeated wrong passwords lock the account for a while, and new passwords are checked against a list of common ones rather than forced to carry symbols.
Session controls
Keep me signed in for up to 30 days (or until 7 days pass without a visit), or sign in without it for a session that ends within a day (12 hours without activity); administrator accounts end at 12 hours either way. Signing out ends the session on the server, and a password change signs you out everywhere.
Social sign-in
Sign in with Google or Microsoft, and connect or disconnect either from your account with proof that it is you.
Email verification
Required before a survey can be created, as anti-abuse protection.
Notification controls
A master on/off switch to silence every alert at once — for a holiday or a quiet week — plus per-survey response alerts. Turning an alert back on prompts you to lift the account-level mute.
Notification bell
In-app notices for what needs you — a respondent's reply, a failing webhook, a digest that could not be delivered — plus announcements.
Activity log
Choose whether Ask, Analyse and AI Q&A activity is recorded; Account, Billing, Act and Protect events always are. Paged and filterable. Ask, Analyse and AI Q&A activity is capped at 10,000 entries with older ones purged daily; Account, Billing, Act and Protect events are not capped and are kept for 365 days.
Billing usage log
One chronological ledger of every credit purchase, swap and AI charge, downloadable as CSV, so your spend is never a mystery.
Limits that warn you first
1,000 answers a month on Free, 50,000 on Pro and 250,000 on Business, with emails at 50, 80, 90 and 100 percent and a grace band past the limit — 10, 20 and 25 percent — before anything stops.
Rate limiting
On sign-in and registration, the AI and the assistant, respondent submissions and uploads, billing, imports, the Messaging centre and the public API.
File manager
Every file you add to your library and every file respondents attach to their answers: each file's size, your total against your storage limit, and which surveys use a file before you delete it. Logos stay with the survey, link or brand they belong to.
Stripe billing
Hosted checkout, a self-serve billing portal, and plan changes prorated in place. You return straight to Thisys after paying, and card details never touch our servers.
Try it without an account
One click into a read-only demo account with example surveys and reports — no sign-up.
Help Centre
A searchable knowledge base, a developer reference for the API, survey-writing tips, and a public status page checked live.
Enterprise plan
Custom-priced, on your own domain (e.g. thisys.yourco.com or yourco.thisys.com) with dedicated infrastructure, every capability unlocked, and dedicated support and onboarding, with support hours and response times agreed with you in your written agreement. Your own admin panel with full administrative control of your instance — users, content and settings across your entire site. We host and manage the platform itself; BYOC / self-hosting is a separate conversation. Sold by conversation, not self-serve.
Admin console
For operators: users (suspension included), templates, help content, plans, support tickets, the mail outbox, announcements, feedback with a Voice-of-Customer view, activity analytics, referral payouts, platform settings — private mode, open registration, AI spend caps — and the running version.
Not built yet
Listed on purpose. You would find these gaps during a trial anyway, and finding them here is better than finding them after signing up. Items move into the list above when they ship, never before.
Recurring sends
PlannedRepeat a pulse survey automatically on a schedule — one-off scheduled invitations already ship.
More chart types
PlannedLine, area and stacked charts for any question, alongside today's bar and pie charts and the trend over time.
SAML / OIDC single sign-on
Under considerationSign in through your own identity provider. Google and Microsoft sign-in are available on every plan; SAML or OIDC single sign-on is not built yet.
Offline collection
Under considerationCollect on a device with no connection and sync later.
Native integrations
Under considerationDirect connectors for spreadsheets and CRMs, beyond webhooks and the API.
PDF and DOCX scanning
PlannedExtend the local file scanner past text formats to the document types most member data actually arrives in. (Importing PDF and Word questionnaires already works; scanning them for personal data does not yet.)
Account-level export controls
PlannedAn organisation-wide policy to disable public CSV links entirely.
SOC 2 certification
Under considerationIndependent audit of our security controls.
HIPAA compliance
Under considerationThe additional controls US healthcare customers require.
Try the ones that matter to you
Every capability above is on the free plan unless it carries a Pro or Business badge. No card, no trial clock.
