Client Billing & Communication Preferences
Set expectations at engagement: update cadence, channels, and billing transparency.
5 questions · 1 page · about 2 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start
Most client-relations complaints are preference mismatches: the client who wanted weekly emails assigned to a lawyer who calls quarterly. This preferences form sets the contract's soft terms at engagement – update frequency and channel, billing detail level, invoice timing, and the always-call-me-first triggers – so service matches expectation from day one.
Revisit it at matter milestones; preferences set during a crisis differ from steady-state ones, and asking again is itself good service.
