New Child Settling-In Profile
Everything carers need to know a child fast: routines, comforts, words, and worries.
6 questions · 1 page · about 6 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start
The settling-in period shortens dramatically when carers know the child before day one: nap routines and sleep cues, comfort objects and their names, the family words for needs, foods loved and refused, and what frightens or soothes. This profile collects the child's operating manual from the people who wrote it.
The family-words question earns its keep alone: a distressed toddler asking for their 'nunny' is only comfortable with adults who know what that means.
