Volunteer Training Feedback
Ready to serve? Preparation confidence, scenario coverage, and gaps before day one.
4 questions · 1 page · about 2 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start
Volunteer training is judged on day one in the field: the situation that training covered or did not. This feedback, collected at training's end, measures readiness confidence by scenario, pacing and respect for volunteers' time, and the uncovered situations experienced volunteers know are coming.
Volunteers are giving you their evening, and the pacing question acknowledges it. Training that runs long or repeats what the handbook already said costs an organisation goodwill it cannot replace with money, and it shows up later as attrition that gets misread as ordinary volunteer churn.
The what-will-they-face-that-we-skipped question, asked of returning volunteers in the room, upgrades the curriculum every cohort. It is the highest-value question on the form: experienced volunteers know exactly which situation the training does not prepare anyone for, they are rarely asked, and their answers cost nothing to incorporate. Re-run the confidence question after a first shift if you can – the gap between trained confidence and field confidence is where the curriculum actually needs work.
