Cross-Platform Parity Survey
Mobile vs desktop reality: tasks per platform, gaps hit, and the forced switches.
4 questions · 1 page · about 2 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start
Users assign your platforms jobs and resent renegotiating: the phone for capture, the desktop for depth. This survey maps the assignment – tasks attempted per platform, the parity gaps hit, and the forced-switch moments where mobile sent them to find a laptop.
The forced-switch question is deliberately asked as a story rather than a checkbox. What you need is the specific moment – the task, the screen, and what the user did next – because parity gaps described in the abstract get triaged as feature requests, while the same gap described as an interrupted afternoon gets fixed.
The had-to-switch inventory prioritises parity work by actual interruption pain rather than feature-list symmetry. Full parity is rarely the right goal: some tasks genuinely belong on a large screen, and users accept that when the boundary is predictable. What they do not forgive is discovering the boundary halfway through work they had already started.
