No-Show Survey

Registered but never came: the why behind empty seats, asked kindly.

4 questions · 1 page · about 1 minute to answer · fully editable after you start

No-show rates are planned around but rarely investigated. This short, kindly-framed survey asks registrants who never arrived what happened: schedule collisions, travel friction, waning interest, or simply forgetting – each cause suggesting a different fix, from reminder cadence to session timing.

The framing has to be genuinely warm or the response rate collapses. People who did not turn up expect to be chased, and a survey that reads as an invoice gets deleted; one that opens by saying it helps with planning and means it gets answered honestly, including by the people who simply forgot.

The would-attend-recording answer converts absence into audience: no-shows who consume the recording are reachable, just not in person. Read the causes as separate problems rather than one number – forgetting is a reminder problem, collisions are a scheduling problem, and waning interest is a programming problem, and an event that responds to all three with more reminder emails will fix only the first.
