Onboarding Email Feedback
The drip judged: opened why, acted on what, and unsubscribed when.
4 questions · 1 page · about 2 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start
Onboarding sequences optimise opens while users judge usefulness. This feedback asks new users about the emails as received: which ones earned action, which taught something the product itself should have, volume tolerance, and the unsubscribe moment if it came.
Ask people who unsubscribed as well as people who stayed. The unsubscribe is the clearest signal the sequence produces and the one your open-rate dashboard renders as a rounding error, and the moment it happened usually names the specific email that overstepped.
The should-have-been-in-product answers are the interesting finding: emails compensating for missing UI are documentation debt with a send button. A sequence that has to explain where a feature lives is describing a navigation problem; one that has to explain why the product is useful is describing a positioning problem. Both are worth more to the product team than to the lifecycle marketer who commissioned the survey.
