Release Notes Feedback

Does anyone read the changelog – and does it change behaviour when they do?

4 questions · 1 page · about 1 minute to answer · fully editable after you start

Changelogs are written dutifully and read mysteriously. This survey measures the channel: who reads release notes and where, whether the writing lands (user benefit versus commit prose), and the behaviour test – a shipped feature they learned about and used because of the notes.

The learned-and-used answers justify the writing effort; their absence redirects it to in-app announcements where the audience actually is.
