Donor Satisfaction Survey

Why donors give, how connected they feel, and what would grow their support.

4 questions · 1 page · about 2 minutes to answer · fully editable after you start

Donor retention is cheaper than donor acquisition, and retention runs on feeling: knowing the gift mattered, trusting the organisation, being thanked like a person. This survey measures those feelings – impact clarity, communication quality, trust – and asks what would deepen support, in the donor's own words.

Send it to active donors annually, outside of any appeal, with no ask attached; a survey that turns into a solicitation poisons the answers. Watch the impact-clarity score closely: donors who cannot say what their gift did tend to drift away.
